起源于1919年包豪斯(Bauhaus)学派，是工业社会的产物，强调功能主义，提倡突破传统，创造革新，重视功能和空间组织，注重发挥结构构成本身的形式美，造型简洁，反对多余装饰，崇尚合理的构成工艺；尊重材料的特性，讲究材料自身的质地和色彩的配置效果；强调设计与工业生产的联系。 The Modern style is a product of the industrial society which originated from the Bauhaus school in 1919. It emphasizes on function and spatial organization, while promoting changes in the traditional superfluous decorations, focussing on clean and simple structures. The modern style also emphasizes on the connection between design and the industrial production, by bringing forward the configuration and characteristics of the materials, for example through texture and colour.
